Our Journey

•The Chotanagpur Craft Development Society (CCDS) was established with a vision to preserve traditional crafts, empower rural communities, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for artisans, women, youth, and farmers across Jharkhand and neighboring states.

•Over the years, CCDS has evolved into a trusted development organization by implementing livelihood promotion, skill development, enterprise development, natural resource management, handicraft promotion, Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) strengthening, women empowerment, and rural entrepreneurship initiatives. Through collaborations with government departments, corporate partners, financial institutions, and development agencies, the organization has successfully reached thousands of beneficiaries and strengthened community institutions.

•With more than 25 years of experience in the diversified jute sector and extensive expertise in handicrafts, bamboo, lac, textiles, agriculture, and rural livelihoods, CCDS continues to promote innovation while preserving traditional knowledge. The organization believes that sustainable development can only be achieved when communities are empowered with skills, market access, financial inclusion, and institutional support.
