Annual Report
Chotanagpur Craft Development Society (CCDS) is a Ranchi-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving the livelihoods of tribal and rural communities in Jharkhand. During the year, CCDS implemented programmes in sustainable agriculture, natural farming, watershed development, livestock promotion, skill development, and women’s empowerment. The organization strengthened Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) through capacity building and entrepreneurship support. Training in handicrafts, bamboo, jute, pottery, tailoring, and food processing enhanced employment opportunities for women and youth. CCDS also promoted market linkages for artisans and farmers to improve income generation. Health camps, nutrition awareness, and community development initiatives contributed to improved well-being. Environmental conservation activities, including plantation and soil and water management, supported climate-resilient livelihoods. Through partnerships with government agencies, financial institutions, and CSR organizations, CCDS continued to expand its development impact. The organization remains committed to building self-reliant, inclusive, and sustainable rural communities across Jharkhand.
