FPO-Bhandra Wadi Farmer Producer Company Limited

Bhandra Wadi Farmer Producer Company Limited was registered on 20 September 2025 with the objective of bringing together producer farmers of Bhandra Block, Lohardaga District, Jharkhand under a formal farmer-owned business organization.

The company has been established to strengthen the economic position of local farmers through collective production, aggregation, value addition, marketing, and improved market access. By working collectively, farmers can improve their bargaining power, reduce input and marketing costs, and explore better opportunities for selling their agricultural produce.

The Farmer Producer Company is governed by a Board of Directors (BoD) comprising 10 members, representing the participating producer farmers. The Board is responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing the company's activities, and supporting the development of sustainable business opportunities for its farmer members.

The company aims to gradually develop activities related to agricultural input supply, collective procurement, produce aggregation, processing, value addition, packaging, branding, and market linkage. It will also work towards connecting farmers with institutional buyers, markets, government programmes, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.

Through collective action and farmer-led enterprise development, Bhandra Wadi Farmer Producer Company Limited seeks to create sustainable livelihood opportunities, increase farmers' income, promote value addition, and contribute to the overall agricultural and economic development of Bhandra Block and Lohardaga District.
